We were thrilled to see such a lively turnout to the Rock of Ages auditions recently, a riotious time was had as the potentials were put through an energetic dance routine to 'We're Not Gonna Take It!', a fierce ensemble workshop and much hilarity was had as we mixed and matched pairings for the lead roles. Isn't it great when an audition night just becomes a fun night out!
But with a great pool of talent in front of them, the panel had tough casting decisions to make! But we are pleased to confirm the cast as follows:-
Drew - Tom Lilley
Sherri - Megan Brown
Lonny - David Harries-Rees
Dennis - Kevin Gauntlett
Hertz - Sam Webber
Franz - Simon Long
Justice - Laura Mackie
Stacee Jaxx - Calum Roy
Constance - Kate Gauntlett
Mayor / Ja 'Keith - Peter Calver
Regina - Penny Brown
Waitress 1 - Alex Absalom-Sanchez
Mother - Elke Starr
Father - Marcus Edwards
Ensemble - Alex Absalom-Sanchez, Emma Burton, Sarah Coldwell, Ed Cowlard, Libby Dix, Marcus Edwards, Kate Gauntlett, Livvee-Rae, Nicky Roberts, Kate Slingerland, Elke Starr and Caroline Waddell

The Mitre Players are turning up the volume with their electrifying production of Rock of Ages, the smash-hit musical that’s nothin’ but a good time! Set in 1987 on LA’s legendary Sunset Strip, Rock of Ages tells the story of a small-town girl, a city boy, and their big dreams of making it in Hollywood. But when developers threaten to tear down the Strip, it’s up to a band of dreamers – and a whole lot of rock ‘n’ roll – to save the day.
Packed with over 25 legendary 80s anthems, this high-energy show will have you singing along from curtain up to final bow. Featuring hits like: We Built This City - Wanted Dead or Alive - The Final Countdown - Here I Go Again - I Wanna Know What Love Is - Heat of the Moment - Can’t Fight This Feeling; …and, of course, the ultimate power anthem Don’t Stop Believin’.
With big hair, bigger guitar solos, and a whole lot of heart, Rock of Ages is the feel-good musical you didn’t know you needed. Whether you grew up with these tunes or just love a good time, this show promises an unforgettable night out.
